We all start the year with an idea of goals and resolutions for how we’ll succeed in the work year ahead, but when we get to our mid-year reviews, are we really satisfied?

The Millennial generation is comprised of 80 million Americans, making up a fourth of the nation’s population and representing 200 billion in annual buying power. Regardless of who they are, with those numbers and that buying power any savvy business owner should be scrambling for a piece of that pie.
Not only are they a quarter of the market, but they are trendsetters across all industries with a huge amount of influence over older generations. To complicate things, traditional methods of advertising are about as effective as a smoke signal during a hurricane when trying to reach the selfie generation.
How does one reach this seemingly unreachable market and crack the Millennial mystery?
As a business owner, you invest time and effort into the well being of your business. This means spending countless hours developing your product, your business plan and your marketing strategy, but it also means investing in your people.
Any good business owner knows that happy, healthy people equal passionate and diligent employees who produce good work and fresh ideas. One way to facilitate this is through employee wellness programs that improve the overall health of the workers and the business.
Good record keeping is next to godliness. Or was it cleanliness? For a business it should definitely be good record keeping - one of the most important things for a business. Without proper records a business can’t know how much revenue is being brought in, what is being spent and how much profit is being generated.
One of the key players in this record keeping party is cost of goods sold (COGS). Without knowing what your cost of goods sold is, you cannot tell what part of your revenue is profit and what part covers costs. Ultimately, a business won’t last long without accurate record keeping.
