There are currently 4 Neighborhood Grills locations where you can spend your BizX dollars: the Bremerton Bar & Grill, Eastlake Bar & Grill, Lake Forest Bar & Grill and Maple Valley Bar & Grill. Their famous happy hour is available at all 4 restaurants, and they serve fresh, local vegetables, local seafood, burgers, steaks and sandwiches, all washed down with Northwest spirits, wine and beer.

Their goal is to be your go-to local spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and as a BizX community member, you’re already part of the family here.

For more than 14 years, Neighborhood Grills has been creating approachable neighborhood restaurants that offer familiar, affordable, classic American food in the Greater Seattle area. Their atmosphere is casual and enjoyable, no matter if you’re with family, on a date, or just relaxing with friends.

John Schmidt, founder of Neighborhood Grills, joined BizX in 2002, with the goal of selling any tables that were going unused.

“BizX made total sense for me,” he says. “I didn’t incur any additional costs when people came in and spent their BizX certificates. I didn’t turn on more lights or rent more space. All of my fixed costs remained the same and I made additional income.”

So what does John spend his BizX balance on?

Advertising, building maintenance, accounting services and a number of other business needs, he says.

John has even used BizX Dollars as a strategy for financing. He started out purchasing bus advertising and used a line of credit through BizX to help build out two new restaurants, offsetting over $ 200,000 worth of work. That’s 10 % - 20 % of his total startup costs for the two new restaurants!

John was able to pay back this line of credit by allowing BizX members to purchase meals with BizX Dollars. And even though that amounts to a lot of meals, he barely felt the impact.

Neighborhood Grills inline“It is not cash out of pocket,” he explains. “And it comes back out of my receipts in a steady, controlled fashion. I get tens of thousands of dollars of spending power without having to write a check!”

Neighborhood Grills was doing a $ 600,000 build out and they gave BizX an itemized list of what they needed. The company ended up using BizX for buying chairs for the dining room, the entire plumbing package, painting for the interiors and even a beautiful stainless-steel railing for their second-floor loft.

It’s incredible how lucrative BizX can be when members choose to use it creatively to fulfil their business needs without affecting cash flow!
