Can we just go ahead and say it? BizX knows how to throw a party, and the 550 that came last night can attest to that. It’s a good thing we have a year to think about how we can out-do ourselves for next year’s holiday party.
Take a moment, re-live the wonderment and take in the brilliance that is the BizX community in all its splendor. When that many entrepreneurs, business owners and all around incredible people get together, magic is sure to happen. There were literally too many amazing, awesome, wild things last night to mention them all. But I’m going to try anyways, so here goes.
First off, pat yourself on the back. With the items from the silent auction and the raffle for the his and hers Movado watches, the BizX community was able to raise over 22,000 BizX dollars for our charities and non-profits within the network. Congratulations to our raffle winner, Gordon McCallon of Target Service & Supply!
A huge shout out and thank you to our three amazing, incredible sponsors, Precept Wine, Usnaps Photo Booth and Pyramid Staging and Events. You are all exemplary BizX members and we could not have put on a party of that magnitude without you.
I’m not a regular wine drinker, but Precept’s Malbec that we had last night was really good! You really can’t beat their wine coupled with a premium bar.
Having a photo booth at your party is really a must. Having a photographer is key, but people really let their hair down at the photo booth. If you haven’t seen these photo booth pictures, you need to see them! There are definitely some awesome hilarious photos!
Pyramid Staging and Events. Not enough good things can be said about this company. They are phenomenal at what they do. From start to finish, nothing but top notch professionalism. That massive screen, their LED wall, was really something else; the lighting, the sound, all of it was spot on, culminating into last night’s sensational party.
All would have been for naught without an incredible location. The venue really set the stage for such a vivacious event. Herban Feast Sodo Park, as you all can now see, is really a superb space. It’s beautiful, a great location and everyone there is awesome to work with. The space isn’t even the best part, Herban Feast really starts to shine when the food comes out. If you didn’t try every single thing they brought out, then you have missed out. Sweet Potato and Dungeness Crab Cakes, Crisp Prosciutto Tartlet, Rosemary Honey Crostini, Bacon Wrapped Figs to name a few of my favorites, with desserts to top it all off!
Oh, and did I mention the hotdogs?! Who has a hotdog cart inside, at a party, on a Wednesday? BizX. BizX does that. A big thanks to Dante’s Inferno Dogs! Again, if you didn’t have one, you are most definitely missing out. Get these guys at your next anything.
No good party is complete without a popping dance floor! That of course is in part due to a fantastic DJ, thank you FireHouse DJ for keeping the party bumping!
A huge thank you to Red Carpet Valet for the valet service. It really helps a night go smoothly, especially in Seattle, when parking isn’t an issue.
And finally, to the BizX team - we came together and pulled off one hell of an event.
You might have noticed a lack of shopping at this year’s event. That’s because we are have two events this year! Not quite the party of last night’s event, but ten times the shopping! Invites for that will be headed out soon, so be on the lookout!
All in all it was an amazing time with an incredible community. Thanks again for everyone that came! It’s always an amazing time when this community comes together! Get ready for Shopping Day and a full host of events coming in with the New Year!
