Dear BizX Member,

Happy New Year! 2021 was another interesting year to say the least. After 2020, I feel better prepared to expect anything. From a business perspective we grew substantially by adding almost 400 new members and processing over $35MM in BizX transactions. As exciting as that is, I don’t want to bore you with the bottom line.

In the last two years, the world has changed how we live, how we operate our businesses and even how some of us look and dress!

We have an invisible enemy that has snuck up on us and has been attacking not only our bodies and immune system, but our way of life, communities & businesses. And just when we think we have it beat, it mutates and takes another shape.

If you had told me what was to come and what would transpire at the advent of this new decade, I would have told you to put the bottle away.

The amazing thing though, is that we have for the most part survived, adapted and in many cases thrived. Adversity forced us to be better, more nimble and smarter. Seeing this all unfold in real time on the frontlines, was in some respects eye-opening & scary, yet inspirational. I saw so many individuals throughout our BizX member companies: from owners to their teams all step up for their customers, families and complete strangers. Our own team at BizX pivoted to functioning 100 %remote, nonetheless, when push came to shove were available 24/7 to ensure our members trust never waivered.

While this experience is not completely over by any means, we are well into a new way of pursuing our life and business goals, which draws me to my big takeaway:

None of this happens without a strong community. That starts on a national level as I am very thankful for what we as a country implemented and accomplished all the way to our community of BizX and every citizen in between. What can be accomplished when we bring our pure intent along with our will allows us to achieve new heights we never thought achievable.

The connection I feel with our team at BizX: our members and the greater business community at large is a different feeling than in February of 2020. I am genuinely optimistic that no challenge is insurmountable and we are excited to grow your BizX community enabling more businesses to be able to work with you as new customers and new vendors.

I am grateful for my family, friends, colleagues and of course you our BizX members and community at large.

I am excited at the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for us and for you. We are excited to roll up our sleeves and help you grow and turn those dreams into reality. We as a group of thousands of businesses together are stronger than any one of us on our own.
