BizX has been an overall good experience for us.

Dan Turnbow, Vice President of Waterways Cruises and Events, initially learned about the benefits of barter from an industry acquaintance. Soon after, Turnbow was contacted by a BizXchange Membership Development Representative who showed him how he could use barter to improve his business. “The ability to trade for services that would otherwise require cash was the number one reason for considering BizX,” said Turnbow.

BizX has been able to increase Waterways’ overall volume by bringing them new private events. In turn, Waterways has used the BizX revenue to cover many of their facility upgrades, business equipment purchases and maintenance expenses that they previously paid in cash.

Another important spending area for Turnbow is event rentals. By managing rental needs directly he provides a value added service to his customers, reducing the number of vendors they have to work with. More importantly, paying for rentals with BizX allows him to dramatically increase his profit margin, because he charges his non-BizX customers cash for the rental costs.

Turnbow is a fan of BizXchange not only because of what he can currently use his BizX for, but also because the amount of businesses that accept BizX is always increasing. “BizX is doing a great job of expanding the different types of services offered by members as well as adding multiple vendors within a given product category which provides choices,” said Turnbow.

By gaining a steady stream of new customers from BizX, Waterways has been able to increase their purchasing power, as well as save cash on some of the existing products and services they need to run a successful business. “BizX has been an overall good experience for us,” said Turnbow.
